RotoruaShopping - The city centre or main shopping area is convenient and easily accessible. With attractive cobble stone paved streets, Rotorua provides an abundance of shops to cater to the needs of all, including clothing and fashion, appliances, ice cream parlours, carpets and vinyls, arts and crafts, sporting goods, books and stationery, gifts and novelties, pharmacies and many more. The two main streets are Tutanekai and Hinemoa and the City Focus Square is within walking distance, providing the services of a community police office and an information centre. Daily shows and performances are a popular attraction within the square.

Shop trading hours range from 9am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays until early afternoon. Various shops are open on Sundays. Post Offices and banking corporations are open between the hours of 9am - 4:30pm weekdays only.
