Shopping - The city centre or main shopping area is
convenient and easily accessible. With attractive cobble stone
paved streets, Rotorua provides an abundance of shops to cater to
the needs of all, including clothing and fashion, appliances, ice
cream parlours, carpets and vinyls, arts and crafts, sporting
goods, books and stationery, gifts and novelties, pharmacies and
many more. The two main streets are Tutanekai and Hinemoa and the
City Focus Square is within walking distance, providing the
services of a community police office and an information centre.
Daily shows and performances are a popular attraction within the
square.
Shop trading hours range from 9am 5:30pm Monday to Friday
and Saturdays until early afternoon. Various shops are open on
Sundays. Post Offices and banking corporations are open between
the hours of 9am - 4:30pm weekdays only.
Local Activities - Rotorua is the ultimate
destination for the extreme adventurer. Adrenaline pumping
activities range from rap jumping down the face of a mountain,
Zorbing - where you are strapped inside an enormous air-cushioned
ball as you bounce down a hill or for those with the need for
speed try screeching downhill on the infamous Rotorua luge or

Rotorua takes you to the stunning destination of the Huka Falls.

orchard and horticultural theme park. Refreshments and eateries
are available at the family restaurant, while small keepsakes can
be purchased at the souvenir centre.

which also provides visitation to the popular kiwifruit orchards.
Alternatively hand feed woolly sheep, lambs and the graceful
deer, discover the diligence of the honeybee at work producing
